About Me

eveboger
I am the mom of 4 amazing people and have been happily married to my best friend and greatest supporter for the last 26 years. Life has proven to be a constant state of growth for me. This blog started as my call "from God" to care for and love orphans on my first mission trip to China in 2008. Since then, I stopped my pediatric practice to stay home with my kids, we adopted our youngest child, I homeschooled for 9 years, I worked in missions at my old church with an emphasis on at-risk youth...the world was very black/white to me. Thankfully, a lot has happened since this time! I've now deconstructed my faith, I do continue mission work but now with a social justice and not religious lens, I am an LGBTQ+ ally and advocate, and I can see the world in so many color hues...it's so much richer and diverse than my former black and white view. (Listen to "Colours of You" by Baby Queen if you haven't). My current call/ my agenda? Still the same...to care for, advocate for, mentor, support and listen to vulnerable youth We are all a little broken, and yet everyone belongs. That's my call. To help everyone belong.
