On my 8th birthday, we went to the GREAT WALL. Jack stayed down closer to the second tower. Alex, Dad, and I climbed over 500 steps. Some were very steep and some were short. It was hard, but at the top, it was worth it! At the top it was a beautiful sight. I could see a lake, trees, and a very far distance. On our way down, it was very crowded and hot. Once we got back down to Jack, we went and looked for the parking lot. We went the wrong way and it was very windy. we took a picture like we were being blown away, and the wind blew so hard, I almost fell out of my position! Once we saw the parking lot, I was the first one to see it and pointed it out. We went back to our van, and it took us about 1 1/2 hours to get back to our hotel. I am so glad I got to see and climb one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
