What a Difference a Month HOME makes

Gotcha Day in China

One Month Home

Fun with Friends

One Month Home....Florie now has about 25 words that she uses regularly...English words, that is.  Moma, Daddy, Alex, Ben, Jack, Sadie, Izzy, egg ,banana, apple, noodles, hi, bye bye, uh oh, please ,thank you, doggie, tiger, potty, tee-tee, eat, night night, moon, cow, no, yes, diaper, shoes, book, bottle, Maw, Papaw, Robbie, Honey, cracker, cheerios, walk, nose ,eyes, teeth, hair, ears....and she signs please,  thank you, eat ,drink, help, go, stop, get dressed...  Her language is doing really well but her pronunciation will need some work :)  We usually know what she is saying.

SLEEP......better.  She likes her big girl bed and now has a side rail up to keep her from rolling out.  She naps about 2 1/2 hours a day, but still takes about 2 hours to go to sleep at night.  She is happy, though, and not crying, and I am able to lay beside her while we read books, talk, and gradually fall asleep.  It is a process, and I do miss putting the other boys to bed and especially miss a little alone time with William,  but overall her sleep is MUCH better.  The last two nights I have slept back in MY own bed (woo hoo!) and that has been okay....thankfully!  We went to Arkansas this past weekend for my father-in-law's birthday, and she transitioned very well. I was worried about that, but she proved she is one bigger TROOPER (another LT...Little Trooper, Little Tornado, Little Taz, Little Trouble :).

That's wonderful, Eve. So much growth in such a short time! She'll probably be sleeping through the night long before she likes bread :-)
