Summer time is HERE!

FINALLY!  We are in the midst of HOT days, rugby nights for William, swim team for the boys, and some really fun relaxing evenings at the neighborhood pool with friends.  We also have soccer tryouts this week, and are taking the kids to see Kung Fu Panda 2 when Florie wakes up. I have heard that it has ADOPTION to the T in it, so I am curious to see it. I do not think LT will be old enough right now to absorb it, but I am curious as to whether this will be a good movie when she is older. I am also eager to see what the boys think.

Florie (aka LT or Little Trouble/Tornado/Tasmanian...) is doing well. She went to the pediatrician last week and weighs 25.5 pounds, and is 33 inches tall.  Poor thing had to get her blood drawn, her poop tested, and 4 shots.  :(  Good thing is she should be caught up until she is three.

Her sleeping is erratic but better. This week is calmer (hee hee) with the boys out of school and swim team, so her naps are becoming "scheduled."  She is falling asleep either downstairs with me holding her (but now I can sit, thankfully!), or a few times she has even fallen asleep with me laying next to her (BIG GRIN!).  She likes the full bed in her room the best....we have tried the toddler bed, the pack and play, and now the big bed.  I wondered at one point last week if I was worsening things by holding her....she gets so upset....so I tried ONCE to put her in her pack and play slightly awake and walk out for a few minutes.  That was a no go...we did not even go 5 minutes, but now, I know.  I know it will take time, and she is adjusting well.

She is also bonding with William (aka DADDY!).  He comes in at night when I am putting her to bed and plays for a bit, and also at the pool she has figured out HE is the fun one....so things are much better there.  He has done an INCREDIBLE and selfless job getting to know her......yet another reason I love him so!

Swim team is going well...the boys are doing well after the first week.  They all had strep at the end of last week (ick) so now they are better.  Bouncing off the walls a bit from the heat outside and no playtime outside in the afternoons, but we stay up a bit later and let them play soccer or run.

Writing fast here....she should wake up any minute.  Time for snacks and then off to the movie. I will post more pics later.  I did realize how out of shape I got in the last 7 weeks....my running and P90X left me quickly. I am trying the 10 minute trainer plan---it takes about 30 minutes a day (and this is only my SECOND day), but BOY do I feel more energized!  Exercise is my stress relief, and i am so happy to be doing SOMETHING! I am just not ready to get up regularly and go for my runs without her yet. It will come, I know, but not yet.

Love, Eve

Sounds like you're busy in a good way! Glad there is some bonding between daddy and his little girl.
